I recovered mine and put in memory foam, made a huge difference, I still take the ass breaks though

I have the seat with the memory foam. I haven't had it covered and installed yet. I was thinking about adding a gel pad insert and maybe a little more foam. Opinions on that please?

I just did 2.5 hours straight on my seat this morning. I seriously need some memory foam. My butt was not happy.

my experience with gel is it gets hot after any length of time, better off with pure memory foamElle said:
I think I've used almost every seat on this bike, its like everything else your results will vary. Personally I think the lm seat pan covered in memory foam with the right contour is perfect. I always take breaks atleast every two hours because I enjoy the break.
all other seats are way too high up for my style and I just don't care for any bike where I feel I'm riding on top of the bike.

I have the solo seat from star. I believe it was designed more for looks than driver comfort. It actually feels firmer than the stock seat in my opinion. I think for the money one would better served to look at aftermarket if comfort is what your after.

I just got the low & mean solo seat at XMAS time and live in Upstate New York so when I get a change to ride, I'll let you know how it is on comfort.
