See someone that had painted their headlights and instrument cover, but left the indentation chrome.
I have a question for them, but can't find the post, looked everywhere. Any help?

Not me but I did something similar. I did the gas cap plastic piece black but left the centre indent chrome

Yahh how did u tapper off the center piece??? i would have lightly cut it but i would be affraid to cut into the plastic

Yes agreed, very clean look. Just wanting to know the taping process. Was it very hard to accomplish? What brand of tape did you use that leaves such a clean line.

From the picture it looks like he used the green 3m tape. You could always use whats called fine line tape. Its real thin, leaves a sharp edge, and handles curves well.
