I use a Carbtune on my Royal Star Venture to sync the carbs. Can it be used to sync the throttle bodies on my Stryker? Maybe it will help the rough idle situation. I know it helps the gas milage on my Venture to keep them sync'd.

Throttle bodies don't require syncing. it is just an inlet for air... unlike a carb which mixes the fuel and air.... the Throttle body regulates the incoming air.. the fuel is injected directly into each cylinder.

Trigger, Yes I read the instructions and have found the two screws for the adjustments. Looks pretty simple compared to the Venture.

Brother... I stand corrected! I apologize for the incorrect info... 1st time I have seen where you can sync a throttle body!! Now I am going to have to take a look at it!!!

Got it done. Piece of cake. Removed the airbox to get to the throttle body set screws more easily. I'll make sure they are balanced as part of my regular service.

We most certainly sync tb on bikes....out of sync can cause rough idles strange vibrations and unsteady idle..yes we use a sync tool just like a carb bike...havent needed to do so on the stryker. but plenty of others.

Trigger, There was no change in idle speed as I balanced the TB's. The rough idle may have slightly improved, but is still there. It may just be the nature of these bikes.

If you are talking about the occasional uneven firing at idle after it warms up, I'm thinking that's normal for the mods they did to this motor??? I can't remember if it did that before I drilled the baffles. Probably just didn't notice because it was to quiet. But I'm thinking it's because they beefed up the 1304cc stock motor that's from the V Star 1300 with higher cam lift and duration , roller rockers, different fuel mapping, ignition, larger intake and air box, and the 2 into 1 into 2 tuned exhaust??? I know when you put larger cams and things in other motors you get rougher idle. But if you guys find out anything let me know.

Toby, I was thinking the same thing, so it is probably normal. We had great weather today, 67 degrees. I took her out for an hour and a half and I tell you what, its a running SOB. I added the Highway pegs today. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so I will take some pictures and post them in the gallery.
