LOL I was just challenged via Face Book to a race from a guy with a 103” Harley Ultra Classic. He’s convinced that he’ll “stomp my Yamaha 1300”. I’m thinking the only way he’d stand a chance is if he had some work done to his engine. I've never met this guy but we have a mutual friend on FB and were discussing HD VS Victory. He said “only yuppies on a budget buy Victory…and if you want a real bike get a HD”. I LOL’d for real on that!!

Mods could change things. Fair is fair. Either stock vs. stock or stage 1 vs. stage 1. Besides that it's too much like apples to oranges and not worth racing since barring a huge blown shift it would favor one or the other unfairly. Kind of like a 160 lb wrestler vs. a 106(not sure of the weight classes but you get the point).

I think it was 220 weight difference, but 20 more foot pounds of torque. With 14 more horsepower.
The Stryker is actually 243lb's lighter than the Ultra Classic. I do believe the stock for stock rear wheel #'s you listed are pretty accurate though. Our mutual friend says this guy used to own/manage a HD dealership so I'm sure his bike isn't stock. Other than exhaust mine is stock so it's kind of an apples to oranges thing. That being said the lighter higher revving Stryker may still be able to overcome his extra HP & torque though.

You won't know til you get out there and make him eat your dust! ;) I would put my money on your stryker. On the straights, in the curves, anywhere... I have seen what can be done with them ;)

I don't know if this helps you or not, but my dad has an 80" E.G. Classic that he had built for pulling a trailer. All I have done to mine is a new muffler on the stock headers. We were at a stop sign about to turn left, and he said "Alright let's go". He pulled out first and twisted the throttle first. From about a bike length behind, I cought him in second, and I passed him as I shifted into third.

When I test rode the Fatboy low and the Blackline at a Harley test your metal event, I felt that they didn't have the acceleration in 2nd gear that my Stryker has. I did not feel that I could get either bike over 80km/h (50 mph) in second. That could be because I wasn't familiar with the bikes. I felt my Stryker had more acceleration in second. To be fair, I had the Cobra auto tuner, Cobra slip-on, SS custom teardrop breather, and the stock 210 tire at the time.

At least the HD guy will feel better in the beginning.

I've made some comments to a few HD guys about racing, but they wouldn't take me up on it. Maybe they were scared. :D

That's at this point right now, when he is challenging..Then it straight Humiliation from here on out! That's how I roll.....

If the guy is honest and tells you his bike is stock, Try not to laugh at him.
If he has a stage 1 or 2 power upgrade you want to make the run 1/2 mile to 1 mile because he might get you in a 1/4 mile but that's it.

If you'd ask me then I would have told you facts. I have raced few 103 with cams and bored cylinders. I have been successful with my black mamba. Never had to use NOS.

I have also raced 110 and pulled with them and then over took them on top end especially if they were bigger buys. Take the race and bet 50 box. Let's put it this way. If I can beat a zo6 corvette on the roll then you must beat a 103 on stryker only if you weigh 265 then I wouldn't say you'd stand a chance due to load. The Harley has more torque to push with even more load than stryker.

A stryker is rated 13 sec bike. Z06 is close or best 12 sec stock
I have the auto tune
NOS
Metz
Cobra intake
Clutch changed
Fan mod....keep this on all time when racing
Radiator net....protect from rocks while racing blew one already and costly
