Cherry vs "Uh" no Cherry

I'm just wondering if there are Stryker owners out there that are going to leave their Stryker stock! The 3 road bikes I had before this Stryker I left alone and did no mods or additions. I never even had thoughts of changing them. This bike I got mod fever and having a hard time stopping. QUESTION: Will these Strykers be worth less in 10 years if we want to sell? I loved this bike as it was when I first saw it online and bought it on site when I saw it at dealer and I never even rode it stock! I do have somewhat of an excuse, I had 3 months Winter weather to look at it and think about what I could do. I am just wondering if there is any Stryker owners here on this forum that plan on keeping theirs stock.

Lol.... clone is what us non red owners refer the reds to.
Everyone has red raiders. So.......they are clones. My local
group are all reds except pj now. I was the only non red.

I'm thinking you raven stryker owners will soon be referred
to as clones.......cuz it seems to be most popular.

Ahh! Cool, And your gonna be right on the black clone strykers. Thanks for clearing that up. Take care!
well I really dont blame yall because it is the coolest stryker.
Id get it if I bought one. They need to come out with more
blacked out colors of the stryker. Im thinking they may have
held back on that wondering if it would sell vs the chrome. I
love contrast on bikes to see more detail.
I have a black stryker and i am thinking about putting the chromed swepts for contrast on mine, what my goal is to make mine just modded enough to make it mine but keep the original appeal there as well. I want to recognize why I bought it 10 years from now.
some of you may find that your original plans wont stick.
I fell into most of the things I did by chance or open opportunity.
Take advantage of having a 1st year model and put yourself
out there for experimental mods.....thats what I did. I was
kind of a guinea pig and it all worked out in the end.

I don't know yet, but I still haven't even taken the sticker off the gas tank! The seat doesn't count right, it's from Yamaha?

That reminds me, should have your new "Tennessee Tea" decals tomorrow night.
Yeah..but not by choice...I'm in that "limbo" of losing my job so I hafta be real careful on how I allocate my monies! So far all I did was drill the pipe, remove all decals and put on a 240... Looks like it's staying that way for a while. Thank God I paid it off already and I have it up for sale reluctantly....when it comes down to it though, I don't think I can as it's the only source of enjoyment during these hard times...plus...it uses a helluva lot less gas then the car!
XVS13CAL- I don't know yet, but I still haven't even taken the sticker off the gas tank! The seat doesn't count right, it's from Yamaha?

ME- Yah, you changed seat from stock and added backrest, luggage & Brackets. You are well on your way!! lol!

ME- Hey Great! Can't wait to see them! Thanks!! I got me a new Nikon 4x12 coming also.

It seems on this forum that the black is the most popular, but one Yamaha dealer was telling me that there are no blues left to sell. The entire 2011 stock has been sold.

Never bought this bike thinking "what will it be worth in 10 years". I bought the bike because I wanted to ride a bike that would put a smile ;D on my face every time I ride it. If its worth nothing in ten years I really don't care. What ever dollars I put into it when I bought it and what ever mods I do, is all worth the cost of the pure joy of the ride.

I was told that there are twice as many ravens than the blue and that the blue is the rarest. That could be why they all sold because only half the number were produced.

Even tho mine is mango now, my silver wheels will always show my true impact blue roots :)
When I bought the bike I told my wife I was not going to do anything to it, and just leave it all stock. oooops! I probably won't get as carried away as I did on my vstar1100, mostly due to finances or lack thereof. Just waiting for these companies to get off their butts and get some exhaust choices for us raven owners. Exhaust will complete my tri fecta of auto tune, air intake and exhaust.

Im waiting on some exhaust as well... just waiting on uncle sam to give me my tax return... oh yeah i got big plans for my return.. lol... and i know there is still several months before i get it but i cant wait
I have made some mods:

Arlen Ness mirrors
Back rest for my lovely bride
Cobra Power Commander
Cobra air intake
Some stickers removed
L&M spoiler

Will probably get some pipes in the future but that should be it. This bike looks great as is and I dont want to deviate too much from it. Personal preference.
What mylife said earlier is exactly how I feel. I didn't buy it to sell it and even after a 2,000 mile long weekend on it I got on it today and had the same thrill I always have. I honestly thought I would dread riding it so soon but........all smiles!
2000 mile weekend? Wow! I did 300 in one day the other day and I was exhausted. Fat old fart syndrome I guess.
yeah, we rode up to Tennessee from Florida and rode the snake and
many other lovely twisties. It was pretty brutal with the grips I have,
no windshield, and a hard seat with no extra cushion......it was worth it
though. We raised around 10,000 for a charity up there....we do it every
year now.
That's awesome Deja, I love charity rides. Great opportunities to meet fellow bikers and show the rest of the world we're not just a bunch of **** raisers.
