There was a post on the Raider forum to the same effect so I'm seeing if anyone is interested in one final ride somewhere around the greater Chicagoland area over the next couple of weeks/weekends.

This sat/sun, 10/19 and 10/20, are supposed to be in mid 50's which isn't too bad...

Possibly Sunday, the 20th but I can't guarantee since bike is having some work done. Hope to have back Friday night.

A final ride? WOW...... It just didn't feel right reading that....
It's that time of the year for you "southern" folks to start ribbing us northerners. She's headed for hibernation by Thanksgiving. There will be a few good days of riding yet(I can ride during the week) but 10-day shows mid 50's with many days starting in the 30's. Too cold for me at the start so rides are shorter!!

On the positive side the wife enjoys that I focus more on stuff that needs to get done to the house. On the negative side she realizes I'm more of an a-hole when I can't ride :) It's a balance thing!

WOW, I sure you can find other things to ride! Put the fire place on and break out the wine! Listen to your wife read some passages from 50 shades of Gray! Learn not to work so hard for it. Some things just come to you.

PMS(Parked Motorcycle Syndrome) is about to set in here also. Will be a few good days here and there yet as long as we don't get snow and Salt get dumped on the roads. Then bike is done for season till we get a good rain in the Spring.

Yep. If it's tolerable to ride, I will. But as soon as the salt goes down, there is no more riding for a while.

Yea glad I got out on Sunday because right now things look pretty bad :( Next Saturday has a glimmer of hope at 55 but with the prior overnight low of 34 and mostly cloudy I don't know.
We got a later start at 10:30 and it was still brisk. After the Bears game though it was sunny and like 61 so that was cool.
I'm sure we'll have some decent days come November but I'm not sure they'll be days we can ride...
