cleaning cobra swepts

so I just noticed that I have some tree pitch or something stuck to my black swePts and its baked on. What is a good cleaner to remove this stuff without damage

Ive had some issues with my black Cobra pipes, Ive got some weird discoloration going on now and am thinking about just taking the shields off and wrapping my pipes. or getting the shields powder coated
