So I have never ridden two up and finally got the wife her own helmet on Friday so she could ride with me. I got off work Friday morning at 7am ran some errands then took her to look for a helmet, what a task that was, lol. Anyway, after that got a couple hours sleep then we went on a 110 mile round trip ride to have dinner. **** of a first ride, riding two up! So we made it to dinner then about half a mile from home we came to a light to turn left while a bus at the intersection was coming across to make a left turn into the lane next to us. I don't know what this guy was doing, whether he was in awe over the Stryker and the led lights or plain just wasn't paying attention, but I have never back peddled so fast before! He turned left and came across our lane some 15 feet inward. We were dam lucky we didn't have anyone behind us because we would have been crushed for sure, as I was back peddling I was on the air horn like no tomorrow my wife was a little freaked out but we had a good time.

Sounds like a scary event. Glad nothing happend. How was it riding 2 up? I haven't done it yet, waiting for girlfriends helmet to come in. What was the main difference you noticed? If not too personal, may I ask your height and weight as well as wifes? Did you adjust your shock at all?

Wasn't bad riding two up. I could feel almost every movement she made, it may have been because I was tense having never had a passenger and was paying close attention. I'm 6'3 295# and she is 5'6 and a big girl (she won't even tell me but I'm sure it's over 225...shhh she will kick my ass, lol)...I adjusted my shock to a 7 sometime ago in anticipation for her riding with me. At a adjustment of 7 riding soloing it's a little solid, not much give but with both of us it's just right I think. The bike gives a little but doesn't bottom out and it isn't to stiff where your kidney's get a work out on bumps. I will say it took some getting used to, having to hold us both up at stops because I am so tall I stretch my legs out rather then putting them straight down and having to give a little more throttle at take off. All and all though, it was actually rather pleasant and a good time. We also use the Scala Rider G9 for communication which was nice.

Thank you. Girlfriend and I recently started eating much better, and have lost a good amount of weight. I am 6' and 185, she is probably about 5'5 and I would say about 160 now. I am just not sure if I whould change shock setting. I saw someone one here that rides 2 up, and actuall said they were going to soften it up. I guess I will try it the way it is, and go from there. Thank you for your help.

We apparently eat to well...lmao. Stock setting is a 4 which they say is for average weight people such as yourself. I would give it a shot like you said and if anything you will end up going to a 5 possibly a 6 setting. If you don't get a lot of give when you sit on it now then you probably won't have any problem, I know with a 4 setting with me on it the bike sqwatted badly. Supposedly the weight limit is 450 which I find a little low and annoying that they never told me this when I bought the bike, it isn't listed on their website under the specifications of the bike. The way I see it, if something breaks due to my fat ass they better fix it or give me a Raider...lol.

Youre not kidding! As I was waddling though I was trying to decide what color my next one would be if I didn't waddle fast enough, lol. Of course it was a city bus so I'm sure I would have one of each and a Raider SCL...lol.
