I test drove a Stryker at Daytona yesterday. Do they all clunk and have play in drive train? It would clunk and bang when engine is loaded and unloaded with throttle. Love the bike for the money. I have owned many bikes. Meanstreak was last metric cruiser. Had a couple of V-rods too. Also like the Victory hammer I test drove much nicer drive train and six speed but 5k more. This is just a spare bike for my friends to ride while in town and that I will ride a little.

The clunk into first is pretty normal, and goes away with first maintenance and adjustments. Not
sure what you mean by 'play' though, so can't comment. Have no similar experience.

Or do you mean when riding and you let off the throttle, back on throttle, it clunks? Mine does.

That's normal. Adding aftermarket pipes smoothed it out and adding the fuel processor has made it basically non existent.

Ya, I consider it a personality trait, If you reclutch 2nd gear when reaccelerating it eliminates this problem. I have found 2nd is when it usually happens the worst and usually that is the 'right' gear for say slowing and pulling into a development or shopping center.

This was broght up before and works for me , the manual says not to downshift into 1going over 20 mph

That's exactly how I was dealing with it until I added the pipes, intake and processor. Of course, now there is no need.
