My Question to Cobra
I am interested in the Cobra Powerpro auto tuner for my 2011 Yamaha Stryker. I have heard reports that the bike will have more power buy will get less fuel mileage. Is this true, will the bike mileage decrease?

There Response
Hello,
well, since your bike runs lean right from the factory and the dealership and say you add some pipes and a air cleaner on the bike, it would run even leaner. Once you would install the fuel processor, it's now adding fuel over stock and there is a possibilty that you could lose some gas mileage. Some people claim that they are getting an extra mile per gallon over stock, where as others see roughly a 3 to 5 mile a gallon drop on average. It also could dpend on how hard you ride thebike. In most cases, once a bike is performing better than before, we all seem to grab more throttle. So there is chance you could lose some gas mileage. Hope this was some what helpful to you.
Thank you and have a great day.

I haven't ridden mine enough to be able to check the mileage, but I have to agree with cobra. It does add more fuel, and I do tend to gouge on mine a bit more after installing it due to the performance. I would imagine it will go down a bit.

I already purchased the Auto Tuner. Just waiting on the mail man or ups truck. Then have to put it on along with the cobra power flo at same time.

I guess I thought I would get the best of both worlds with the auto tuner. Better fuel mileage and more power and torque.

A richer mixture means more fuel... no if ands or buts... your gas mileage will decrease... purely mathmatics... there is now possible way you can add more fuel over stock and get as good or better MPG's. if you have a 1 gallon of fuel... and it is lets say for this purpose it is burning at 5 parts fuel to 1 part air (5:1) and you can travel 40 miles on that hypothetical gallon of fuel... if you richen the mixtue 7 parts fuel and 1 part air (7:1)... it would suffice to say that you won't make 40 miles on the gallon of fuel. probably more like 36 mpg.

All this said... who cares... about 2-3mpg less.... with a 4 gallon tank... we are talking 12 whole miles less.... I am all about the Cobra Autotuner!!!!
