I finally got around to installing my Cobra tuner and Hypercharger. After reading through other peoples install and how difficult it was to get to the injector plugs I was prepared for a bit of frustration. However there is an easier way.
First unplug the temp sender on the left side of the bike. It's the green plug on the hose, and move it out of your way. Now the front injector plug is readily accessible. That's the easier one of the two anyway. The rear plug is the one most have a hard time with. I did the long needlenose pliers trick and got it unplugged but just couldn't get the new plug oriented right. So I started looking. Go around to the right side of the bike. Remove the air cleaner cover and unbolt the air cleaner housing from the bike. On top of the throttle body is a vacuum line with a spring clip. Pull that and move it aside. Behind it there is a larger hose (about 3/4') that connects to the two tubes of the throttle body. My guess is to equalize pressure between them. Squeeze the spring clip and remove the rearmost end of this hose and eureka you now have plenty of room to get to that pesky injector plug. Plug everything in, zip tie it up replace the hoses and temp sender plug and that that. Hope this helps the next guy with the install.
