I put the battery in my bike today, to get her ready.... I hooked it up to the positive terminal by accident, which quickly became apparent from the fuel being dumped by the pump....

So I put it on the negative side.... And the bike won't start, it half cranks and stops... Not turning over. The battery is fully charged....

The Autotuner only flashes the C a few times.... No numbers or anything? Did I fry it that easily?

Is there a reset or program option etc? Should I post a video?

Thx

That easily? By reversing the polarity? Quite possibly. I would disconnect the battery completely for a few minutes to see if everything would reset. And, if that doesn't work, I would disconnect the AT and see if it starts without it.

It flashes the symbol as per normal start up... Then it just doesn't crank....

Removing it will be my last resort, I'm just gonna let it dry out from the leakage before trying again.

Thx

Well, if the question is "is the autotuner fried" then disconnecting it should be your first resort. If it is fried, the bike will run without it, but will not when you plug it back in.

I'm doubting its the tuner, though, since I wouldn't think that would prevent the bike from cranking, and the lights are normal when you turn the key on.

I'm confused, though - is it cranking over at all or not? If it is not, it could be something as simple as the kill switch or the kickstand switch.

Running now, and I am happy to say I didn't fry anything! My best guess a hydro lock or something from flooding... Because I put the charger on again... It I'd a half crank and stopped again.... So then I held it down for 5 seconds... And it started clearing up/cranking... A little gas and BAM... Running loud and proud :)

Thx all, now I just have to wait another month for spring :(

You said "fuel being dumped"? did it spill on the floor?? I would be worried that the cylinders are full of liquid... liquid becomes a solid under pressure and the pistins will give before the fule does!
