i really like the look and sound of the traditional looking cobra staggered drag pipes @ $460, but they imply you need some computer gizmo that costs $600. do you really need this thing or have some done the pies w/o any problems?? for that much, i'll stick with my stripped out OEM's.

You dont need a fuel programer for pipes alone. unless you experince backfireing. usually happenes in exhaust without baffles installed "straight pipes." an intake requires one. pipes and an intake defenatly requires one. however, a programer is very recomended even with just a stock bike. even a cheep 200 dollar one that needs to be dynoed or manually mapped is a huge improvement on performance.
