I just bought Black swept cobra exhaust for $605 shipped, i ordered them yesterday at 4pm and had them today at 6pm. best site I've seen for the exhaust www.phatperformanceparts.com, they also have the chrome swept for $560 shipped. Of course I had to rip the baffles out, can't wait to put them on tomorrow, hope it's an easy 1 man job, because I can't wait to hear them.

It's a one man job with no problems. Did mine in about an hour and a half and that's with a couple brews!

The 519 and 605 are really about the same considering 519 is for chrome and black is 80 more.

Can someone explain how chrome could be cheaper.
I don't think chroming is cheaper than painting but I think It's because the black is heat resistant powder coat not just paint, not sure though. The other reason of course is just a profit driven thing and/or because black pipes are less common than chrome they get away with charging more? Just my thoughts.

I believe the black are a alumina based powder coat. I think it is more a volume thing as well as what Toby said. If you sell 5 chrome for every 1 black, the chrome will be cheaper. That means you can send more at one time to the chrome shop which usually brings the price down which some of the savings is passed along to the customer.

You took bafflles out of your Cobras. Easy to do? curious, I'm ordering mine this week and not sure yet if i will want to pull them.
Super easy to pull them out, but is the worst sound youll ever hear. I took my baffles out before installing. Took it around the block and put them right back in.
lol good to know, thanks. i ended up seeing a vid of someone removing theirs, just a pipe with a partial bolt in the end to pull them(after WD40 soaked inside the pipe). reinstall just as easy i hope.?

not too bad, the trick is lining up the screw holes. Since they are kinda tight makes it harder to move around, but it can be done.
