hello fella's i have done several searches across the page and i find multiple posts on this specific piece of hardware...but no one having the issue im having. they supplied me with 2 different length bolts. instructions say long in front short in back. Unless im doing something wrong it doesnt appear that my supplied bolts are long enough but this was a sealed package from west end motorsports. Is there anyone out there that can give me a helping hint. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a back rest on your bike? I have a fixed mount backrest on mine and the bolts from the backrest worked for me on the supports.

nope i have nothing on the back side of my bike...my only guess is maybe im retarded and putting the washer in the wrong place...between the support and the black trim piece correct?? ???

Probably a dumb question but your putting the bolts through were there counter sunk into the supports? It's been awhile since i put mine on. Like i said i used my backrest bolts so i'm not sure about the ones that came with the supports

Steel fender-plastic trim-washer-support-bolt. The support is actually hollow so the washer fits inside the support when everything is in place.

If I'm visualizing this incorrectly, forgive me. From the bolded portion, it sounds like you have the support turned 180 degrees. This would also alter the necessary length of the bolts. The bolt head should be recessed in the support when mounted.
