I have been thinking about going with the Slip on. I had the swepts last year but sold them because they were too loud for my ears. Yes, I know. I have wimpified ears.

Anyway, I have listened to many videos of the two exhausts and the videos sound never really comes out correct. Does anyone have experience with both exhausts? Is the slip on quieter than the swepts?

Or, Is there a way to quiet the slip on down if I find it is too loud for me? I currently have drilled stock exhaust and that is about as loud as i really want it to be.

I installed the slip-on and rode recently w/ Patrice who has the swepts. They are very similar in sound with the swepts being just a touch louder to my ears. Note that Patrice has the Cobra auto tuner and air cleaner so that may make a difference.

Both of these are louder than stock(even drilled). The loudness is mostly deeper but they both snarl if you get on them.
I'm guessing you could wrap the baffle etc. to make it quieter but I'll let others reply on that who are more knowledgeable and have done that.

Thanks I was basically figuring they would be deeper and slightly louder than drilled stockers but hoping they were a little more than Just slightly quieter than the swept.

Will check out that site now.

Guys, Remember we bought these pipes because we wanted something louder than stock. If these cobras are too loud for you you can tone them down some with Fiberglass or Fireplace rope. SmokenJoe just bought fireplace rope to my attention.
You can check out the way my pipes sound on my profile. If you watch movies from your pc and have pretty good speakers, mine pretty much sound like that. My dogs start barking from the other room when I play it. They think I am pulling into the garage. I knocked the centerplate out to make mine louder, then I wraped them. If you dont knock the center plate out, yours will not be as loud.

I started out with the Slip-on and just recently put the swepts on. I found with the slip-on that depending on which way I pointed the tip made a difference in what I heard. Tip on top, wasn't bad...tip closer to the bike it got louder...after 4000 miles it got to the point it actually bothered me almost like a glass pack that was burnt out. The swepts I just put on, I really like the even sound they produce and when I get on the throttle it gives a great rumble but they aren't obnoxious.
