Cobra Slip On Worth It?

I've checked the threads for Cobra Slip On but the sound clips aren't clear enough.
Is this slip on really quiter than our drilled pipes ?
Don't want to make the cosmetic change if the sound isn't worth it .

I'm sure that I'm being anal, but the only thing I do not like is that the button head screws to
hold the cover plate (which hides your connection to head pipes) is silver. Hardware store if
it bugs me too much. I did not bother to loosen the bolts on the bolts where the head pipes
meet the exhaust ports and it still slipped right on. For cost and ease of installation, the slip
on gets 2 thumbs up. I'm amazed that Yamaha wants over $900 for a factory replacement of
just the muffler section, and you can get a better product for around $200.
Posted it before, but worth doing it again. ;D

I ordered my slip ons today from Phat. Should arive in time to install next weekend. From everything I've heard the sound, color match (black) and price are hard to beat. Will let you know what I think after I get them installed.
MY LIFE.... Great vid.... real close to pulling the trigger on that one .. One question. Does it get annoying on long trips?
nope doesn't get annoying at a steady throttle its a nice low purr. But anytime you accelerate or decel it has the harly rumble
Pulled the trigger last night. Ordered it from PHAT. $210 with shipping. Going to do a ride video of a before and after with these pipes. Weather went winter again, so it may be a few weeks or more before I post the video.
nice sound, good video !!!

i really like the look of the 2 pipes one in top of the other, but the Cobra doesn't look bad at all

Beautiful day so I blew off work and installed my slip-on. Off and on in under an hour.
Must say. love the new sound. It what the Stryker was meant to sound like. Best $240
I have spent on mine so far.
agreed, under an hour. even for my non-mechanical arse. the Stryker should have sounded like this out of the crate!!
Just installed mine last night. 1.5 hrs and that included eating dinner. ;D Love the sound. Test ride today if temps get about 40*
Smokenjoe, I'd like to hear yours before I decide to buy one.

Thanks Joe!
Just took mine for a spin......................definitely worth it. Sounds even better on the road
AWESOME
Was at my dealer who has just installed my Cobra Slip On. Bike still at the dealer will pick it up Saturday. To cold to ride. Installed my Vance and Hines Fuel Pak and my Mojo Speedo faceplate. Sounds great can't wait to take it on the road. Sounds better then the videos show it. BEST $210 I spent so far. ;D
I think the slip on is totally worth it. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't heard it in person. Full exhaust would be great, but I don't want to spend $550+. Can't wait to ride again :)

Totally agree. There is nothing wrong with the existing head pipes. If you want better sound, and better performance from other mods this is the
best entry solution. Have the slip on, BBK, and Cobra FI tuner and it makes me happy. All that matters.
I have a Styker Raven and the Cobra slip on's were the best $240 I ever spent.
I'm new to this forum and bought my stryker recently also. Not much experience with bikes either. Would like better sound for my pipes and I'm strongly considering getting this slip on, however I wonder if this is going to have any effect on the fuel mixture. Do I need to get the cobra tuner like when you change the airbox or am I OK with just changing the pipe? Would appreciate your input before I bite the bullet.
