Yep install is easy. Even with stock intake the popping is driving me crazy. With any luck this week I will be ordering the EJK tuner. In other words the hole just got deeper.

Wait til you feel how heavy the stock mufflers and bracket are compared to the Slip-on & bracket. Big weight savings.

Loosen the clamp, take off the three bolts holding the bracket on and the whole stock slip-on comes off. Then just the opposite to put the Cobra on (other than bolting the bracket onto the pipe)

The instructions say to toss the OEM bracket bolts, but I reused them because they're black (I have the blacked out option). the ones that Cobra ships are chrome (with the Cobra bracket they stick out a little more on the inside, but there are no clearance issues) You don't have to loosen the header pipes, but I found it did make lining up the heat shield a lot easier, and it's not really a big deal loosening the acorn nuts.

I took the baffle out before I even put on the Cobra pipe. It is very loud, but that's how I like it....and a lot of people have given great comments on it....except for the old lady in the parking garage who had her fingers in her ears....oh yeah, and all the cars whose alarms I set off......other than that - :biggrin1:

That was my next question. How do you take the baffle out? Is it anything like V&H pipes?
Remove a couple of panhead screws at the end of the pipe. Then I took a 2' extension with a large socket and tapped it out from the inside. It is very loud, and I never thought I would be one to have exhaust like that.....but I got used to it real quick :)

I have always had a loss of low end torque from removing the baffles completely. Like, no get up and go.
Might need a tuner to fix that Joe- I can feel you taking a swing at me! HEHEHE

Just put the slip-on on my bike and love the sound. Much better then stock. Whole job took 30 min with a beer in hand. (and yes I do have a tuner and no backfiring/ popping issues)
