All, Getting ready to order the slip on's (black), but I am not at all mechanical. Is this going to be an easy install? If it is just a couple of bolts...I'm good to go. If not, may need re-think. Thanks for any input.

Well... so much for my wife putting it on!Alaskanmonte said:and some common sense are all that is needed.
from what I've read on here, if you have just the slip on and no other mods like open air box or any open air intakes you're good to go.John_Stryker said:Thanks everyone for the input - any issues running the slip ons without a tuner\modulator?
That's why I got the slip on, it easier to clean that awesome wheel too. As far as the sound goes, I'm very happy with it. IMHO I don't think it can sound any better.lieger07 said:Does this slip on give you a similar sound as if purchasing a full exhaust? I'm curious to this because they put such a nice wheel on the back but then hide it with the exhaust. Love the way the slip-on looks I just also want it to sound like we all know the Stryker should. I'm between this slip-on and cobra's dragster exhaust.
This man knows, how to persuade..MY said:I said it before on another post and I'll say it again. My Stryker with the Cobra slip on is loader then my Dad's Raider with his Vance and Hines 2 into one . His looks sweeter, but you can't hear his exhaust over mine. Now I don't know if that might have to do with my Vance and Hines Fuel Pak, but **** I've started wearing ear plugs a some point during my ride.

I just ordered these. I hope they're not so loud I need earplugs! But, I guess if they are, I can either wear plugs or sell them to someone at a great price. I haven't heard the swepts, but I just installed the slip on and am happy with the sound. Wouldn't want it any louder. A well spent $210, IMO.Bozzly said:Has anyone personally heard the slip on and cobra swepts? I have the swepts but I am seriously thinking about ditching them in favor of the slip on. I need more room for stuff and the slip on will give me the extra room for stuff....![]()
Wondering if the slip on sounds generally the same as the swepts as I really like the sound from the swepts, Loud but not too loud more like just right.
The decel sound changed dramatically when I installed the auto tuner.I agree with the Cobra Slip-On sound here in this post. It sounds great. Though you do get the popping when you let off the throttle too fast but if you ease it off it doesnt pop on decel as much if any. I got a K&N filter and cut out half of the stock air box back like guys on here are doing. I need to get the Bully next. I do wonder if I do the O2 resister if that will help???
