Fellas,
I have been searching through the recent posts and was looking to see if the Cobras have O2 bungs for the factory sensors. If its in here somewhere I appoligize for the lack of searching and please direct me in the right direction. I would feel certain that they would have O2 bungs however just want some clarification. Also, I noticed when most of the exhaust talk started it was back near the birth of the Stryker. How many of you guys have been running the Cobras without the Power Programmer? Any problems, issues, running too lean? Once I go intake I will go the programmer route. Any help would be great. Drilled baffles just ain't cutting it... ;D

I don't mind the drilled baffles... but then again, most of my riding is done at 2AM on (my work hours) So I'm all alone and everyone's asleep... My neighbors would freak if my bike was any louder at that hour.... I think it sounds a helluva lot better than before it was drilled... What's more important is the way it handles and I'm satisfied with the torque....and this is coming from a sportbike rider.... Blows away any other cruiser I've owned as far as passing speed. (Plus...at the moment I don't have the funds for any mods due to my hours being cut so I have to be happy with what I've got at the moment) lol

Yea I drilled out the baffles second day I had it. Pacified for a little while. Just not quite enough for my taste. Just wanted to see if anyone had any ill affects by not using a programmer. And my neighbor is an a$$ so it would be great to wake him up on occasion ;D

Thanks for the link..... I am going to pull the trigger on the pipes today. IMO adding exhaust to a bike shouldn't be any different than a car or truck as long as all the O2 sensors are accounted for...... I have put exhaust on everything I have ever owned. Hate to break the trend...lol Guess I will pull the plugs about 500 miles or so after the pipes go on and see how they look. Anyone have a sound bite on those pipes by chance????

I'm running them with no baffles and I have "dead spots" in the throttle while cruising. Spirited and WOT throttle is great, but its just at a mild cruise is when I can feel the dead spots. I guess i'm going to have to get a programmer.

So my theory is-
Do you have to have a programmer? - No
Do you need a programmer? - Yes

i might sound like an idiot but what do you mean exactly by dead spots ???

I have the same problem. When you are in first or second and putting around with steady throttle, it will cut out. I beleive that is due to the bike running richer than normal. I think once I install the fuel programmer this will go away.
