I just got my 2011 stryker and the guy i got it from had cut the baffles out of the exhaust put on the cobra power flo intake and has the fi2000r o2 cobra fuel management system on it. So i was going to adjust it because it would backfire on decel then i learned he put the California model on the bike ... no adjustments. Is anyone a cobra dealer that could hook me up and trade me for the correct tuner ? Or and i screwed and need to buy a new one? is it bad to run the bike this way ? Whats the best tuner if i have to buy a new one?

Do a thread search my friend. Lots of info on this topic.

Members here have had great success with the EJK and GMan units. As well as the Cobra auto tuner. I run cobra dragster pipes and no tuner. But I have the stock intake.

You're gonna have a hard time finding someone who will "trade" tuners. If you want to make adjustments yourself, go with the EJK. Works great and affordable.

Good luck.

Is yours the CA model of the Autotune?
Are you certain?
Why do you think that it is?
Does it look like the one in my signature pictures below?

Or is yours NOT the autotune at all.
AR: I believe he said he had the "O2" version. Which I thought were all adjustable. First I heard of a CA version.

DD: Regardless, just try unplugging your O2 sensor, should keep the ECU in open loop and get rid of some of the backfiring. MPG may go down slightly. Had autotuner with my unbaffled Cobra, would backfire once in a while off of hard decel, but that was it...very tolerable.

If it's running strong leave it alone...........a little backfire is no big deal. If you get rid of the decel popping and backfire you will be DE-tuning your motor.

I don't understand why everyone hates the decel pop or occasional backfire..............

My O2 is unplugged and I (was)getting 45-50mpg. :noidea:

I agree Joe...I think it is inherent with an aftermarket exhaust, especially without baffles.
Also what is always hard to tell is what one person considers intolerable, compared to what we think. I had the slip on with no baffle, and I loved the sound...some think it's ungodly loud. I love the "jake brake" sound when decelerating, some think it's not supposed to do that.
I guess to each their own.
I just wonder sometimes if people are spending beacoup amounts of cash to fix a problem that isn't really a problem. ???

Really, the only sounds that are as good are a) the exhaust when twisting the throttle. and b) the snarl of the exhaust when getting on it hard and slightly letting off to shift gears. :D
