I'm looking at finishing my bike with the exception of paint. That means Cobra Swepts, Cobra or Baron Intake and a few other secret things. So I'm wondering if $429 is a good price for a Cobra Tuner or if I can do better price wise or with a different Tuner all together?

I did a quick check at a several sites - Two Cycle guys was the cheapest at $423.33
for Cobra Fi2000r AutoTuner part # 92-1770at,(i think that is the correct one) with aprox $12 shipping - so total of $435.33

So for most sites that do price matching etc...and have free shipping, you can get them to lower thier price to the Two Cycle Guys price and then get free shipping.

good luck!

Why not run it without the tuner to see if you really need one. Then buy it if you feel you do.
JMHO.
My Son tried that route with his V&H Big radius pipes. When he first put his 57.00 DIY BAK on and rode bike. Engine did not run smoothly and seemed to want to stall at stop lites. Very spuradic throttle response. So until he got a Cobra tuner, he took the BAK back off. Now he has BAK back on with the tuner and runs great. My Shortened slip-on is still a touch louder than hes big radius pipes though. LOL

Definitely go with the auto-tune. I just picked mine up along with my V&H Twin slashed from indysuperbike.com. They had the best prices I could find and the shipping was very quick.

I just got done with a ride with my $57.00 air mod and my Cobra slip-on. Ran like a champ. Even had less decel pop.
Could just be the Blue Strykers that need a tuner, Ravens are much faster & Quicker like ours Joe.

I thought about trying it without the tuner but even Cobra says you will need a tuner...could be a marketing ploy though, lol. Checking with the dealer tomorrow to see what kind of deal I can get through them. Thanks for all your opinions

Indy was great to me. They had the best price by far (beat my local dealer by almost $300 between the tuner and the V&H Twin Staggered). And the shipping was very quick through Fedex Home Delivery which allowed for a Saturday delivery!
