There have been posts in the past that with a shaft drive you are limited on the size of back tire you can run.... I hate to say but that's not a 100% true. I was riding in a poker run this last weekend and one of the guys in my group was sporting a Metz 300 on his m109r. It's not quite a DIY but neither is putting a 300 on a stryker. Granted his bike did start with a 240 but it did look quite impressive on there.
