Yep happens to me every place I stop. My wife is usually with me on her 950 and its blue and has the same stock air box so they look similar but what's funny is they always ask her why she rides the bigger one. I guess it looks bigger because it has a bigger gas tank and wider handle bars and wind shield and taller back bar. And mine sets lower.

Happened to me in a very shady part of town. Some African American couple pulled up beside me on a red light and rolled down their windows. A really custom harley was infront of their car and they were more interested in my copper red stryker. He said to not worry about the lack of sound, because my bike was sure "bringing it". He loved that I had my old lady on the back, and just kept saying " man your bike is sure bringing it".

Mine is my daily driver, so it kinda gets old when I'm running errands and I have to cut conversations short from people coming up to me. Once it was three separate random people at different locations who wanted to chat a while when I was on a time crunch. Otherwise, I have to admit that I kinda enjoy the attention :)

Gotta love these bikes ;D ;D ;D Went to our first Big bike night downtown and I rolled down with a local MC (friends) of mine and out of the 15 or so bikes, mixed with many Harleys, couple Victorys, and me on my Raven. Guess who got the attention???-----ME......and loved every minute of it ;D 8) ;D People just really didn't know what it was, had a few say it kinda looks like a Raider but NICER--I replied with kinda-- it's the little brother but holds it's own;)

Parked in front of a restaurant/pub in downtown Natchitoches, LA over the weekend and had tons of people walking up and checking out my bike.. Got surrounded by a big group of HD's (mainly big streetglides with all the boxes and **** on them). Mine got all the attention. One guy walked all around it and gave me and odd look. I said, "its a Yamaha..." He said, "it's a piece of art as far as I'm concerned." I thanked him and thought that was one heck of a compliment. The harley guys were drooling over my gf and did not have the nerve to say anything negative about my bike. They knew it was bad ass lol

Mine was on display at our first rally last weekend and loads of people complimented me on it. We are a virago and star owners club so everyone appreciated the great looks and different styling from the other stars. The rake on the front forks makes it look mean.

They all said it looked really big, but I don't see it like that any more. ;D

A couple pulled up next to me today while I was sitting at the light, all smiles and they yelled "What kind of bike is that" .. "Yamaha Star Stryker" I replied. "We really like your bike!" Gave them a "Thanks" just as the light tuned green I gave them a little taste of the Stryker/ Cobra off the line. Never get tired of the attention.

I was at a bike event yesterday at the HD dealership. They had live music, food and vendors and called it "Little Sturgis". lol Had several HD guys taking pics of my bike and got some really nice compliments.

Sturgis in Lisle? Should have called. I swung up there to get some patches on and look around. Nice enough event but not a lot of vendors. Then again hard to get anything there without a gigantic HD emblem on it anyway...

I agree, it never gets old. I get compliments also and it makes for a great feeling of pride. Funny story about one particular complement though. As I was pulling into the complex of my apartment building, a guy exiting the complex yelled from out of the window. He kept yelling and trying to flag me down. As I was parking, I saw him backing his car up and eventually parked in front of me. He wanted to talk bikes and gave a lot of compliments on my '13 Stryker. At first, I was a little scurrrred. But then actually ended up liking our conversation about bikes.

I can't say I've ever had that happen to me before!
