I know of the throttle boss and throttle rocker but neither allow you to completely remove your hand. Any ideas?

Is that their throttle boss?
No, its the throttle lock. I have avon grips with the avon throttle boss (cramp buster). I have wide hands and I'm trying to decide if I want to take off the throttle lock and leave the cramp buster on.
The throttle lock is nice but with possibility ruff roads, pot holes the vibrations from the bike and road terrian the lock doesn't stay 100% locked.

I bought Kuryakyn's "Mechanical Throttle Cruise Assist" (KY-6285) and I hate it.
It sits on the bar end and you twist-lock it to set it. You have to be quite deft to set it (almost a 180 degree turn to lock it) and release it - I prefer the Vista Cruise, which I had on my VTX. I have it in a drawer somewhere - I need to put it on the Stryker.
The KY-6285 is going back to Cruiser Customizing.

I have used Kury's version on the Styker with ISO grips.

http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/3784/Premier-Affordable-Throttle-Assist

It worked, but it always slipped a little, and sometimes it caused the throttle to stick when it wasn't set. And sometimes the thumb lever would jam on the adjustment bolt and I couldn't engage it. I was always tinkering with it trying to get it dialed in.

I got results just as good by sticking an o-ring between the grip and the throttle assembly, without the eyesore. Of course now the throttle never snaps closed.

The brakeaway is the e-ticket if you want to spend the money, seems to me.
