Anyone considered going this route and making your own fenders? Starting with a "blank" like these

Some of them are quite reasonably priced and metal not plastic! Just not sure yet which ones will fit.

The Washington Chopper place is about 30 minutes from my house. I'll head up there the next time it's sunny and see what they have for Strykers or if they're interested in making something.

As long as the fender is the right width and it doesn't have any holes in it then we could just drill our own. Even if it comes with holes I can always just weld them up and drill new ones.

This is the route i'm going to take. I don't like any of the fenders I have seen to date. You can buy various sized 180 degree fender blanks from several different companies. You can get steel ones from www.milwaukeeiron.com and composite from www.oldinc.com.

Looked at them and still think the Low and Mean Reaper looks sicker. As for them being fiberglass doesn't effect me at all. If anything it will make my bike lighter. 8)

I talked to the Washington Chopper guys, they don't/won't do anything for metrics, HD only.

Sounds like there is a company that has a stick up its ass. 8) Better giving buisness to companies like Low and Mean who are designing mods for our bike anyway.

My exact thoughts, I guess our money is no good to a company like that.
