I’ve been running the Custom LED taillight for quite a while now. This past weekend my dad and I were riding and he brought something to my attention that I hadn't noticed. On our ride I discovered my factory horn was only working intermittently so I kept pressing the button to see what the deal was. My dad said every time I honked the horn my taillight would do a quick strobe as if I tapped the brakes. Is this a built in safety feature with the Blaster X technology of the light or is something up here? The strobe effect doesn't happen if the horn doesn’t work...only when the horn sounds it does it.

Mike you don't have to ground the light because the 3-wire harness plugs directly into the OE motorcycle harness. There is a gray wire you can ground if you want to use the customizable strobe features but I didn't want to do that so I left the gray wire unconnected per the instructions.

That gray wire was the wire I was talking about. I didn't think these units were sound activated....

I recently installed the Chrome Glow LED fork wraps...don't see how that would've affected anything. The horn was acting up before it threw them on.
