My plan is to clean up everything in the back and integrate an LED tail light strip just below the lip of the fender. I started this today and it looks like an easy build. I made the lip to hold the LED strip and it looks like I can weld some tabs to the existing tail light mounts pretty easy after bending some strips and tacking them to the new lip for the LED strip.

Might take me a bit to put this together, but I will do my best to document how I do it. Right now I should come in under $100 for the assembly.

I have a picture of my old modded stock tail light as well.

More to come after I get the LED strip here for measurements, then tack and paint and onto install.

Ordered a custom strip light from Radiantz yesterday, hoping to get everything done later next week and will report back with everything I did. Should end up dual element tail light/brake and amber blinkers wrapped in smoked tubing.

Not directly related to this rebuild, but does has anyone installed the Kury triple whammy (run, turn, brake) on their Stryker? If so, did you need to install a load equalizer?
I used the Triple W..... on my other bike and has nothing to do with LEDs. It just converts the stock turn signals into running and brake lights.

Parts list

The parts were from Radiantz

Item:1 - Qty:1, Custom Flexible LED array (3.6in) (4.2in) (3.6in) (Amber LEDs) (Smoke Tube), Price:$76.50
Item:2 - Qty:1, Dual Element Circuit for Z-Flex (65-100 LED 6121-00), Price:$4.99

Install is as easy as changing a battery.

The frame I made to stick them to was just some thin strap steel that I made custom bends in and welded some tabs to use the existing light mounts.

Total price, less than $100 :thumb:
