1. I'm getting the PCS Links.
2. I've read every post on here which is why I still have some simple questions.
3. Keeping stock tire.
4. I'm 250 (down 50 and still dropping!)

Basically at 250 lbs and riding by myself will I experience problems with the PSC link (only) set for the 2.5" drop with a stock tire and shock?

Sorry for the dead horse post but after having read all of the posts on this topic I can find a lot of opinions but I just didn't see this one answered.

Me neither ... you may have to adjust the tension but will work when you find the sweet spot

AHam,
Great Q and was thinking the exact same thing. Just wondering what your Pre-load is set to now? Mine is still set to stock settings, but thinking of moving it to the Big Boy mode. :)

I had my PCS links set to 2.5" yesterday. I can really plant my feet down with a 28" inseam but I bottomed out the frame twice on the pavement. I apparently have steep gutters where I live. I had to put it back to the 1" setting. I'm 200lbs, for what it's worth.

So no one has tried a full load yet with that combo, (210 with 2.25" drop?) I'm still waiting for the weather to stop dumping snow and rain so I can get out there and test it. I plan on putting about 400 lbs with the preload at #4 and if that doesn't work then I will set it all the way up to #9. Don't plan on riding 2 up all the time but I want to know so when I do I will know if I have to put it on the 1" instead of the 2.25" So I hope within 10 more days or so I will know and I will post the results.

Lowering the bike that much is more for looks than functionality. Expecting the bike to functional as well as it does stock seems odd to me. The same thing happens on the Raider forum ...

You're right Dreadly, I realize it's cosmetic, but was curious what the ramifications would be not necessarily what the performance value was. I think the 1" is all I need for the handling improvement.

LMAO now that I think about it I have a very STEEP driveway to drop down to get into my garage. So 1" is probably all I can do anyhow. I'm glad I asked this question now, I hadn't thought of that aspect and there's no way to mitigate the decline it's a basement garage. LOL ;D

So anybody have suggestions for quality bike covers that are well vented since I may have to start parking the girl on the curb after I put the lowering links on her????

Full cover or a bikini cover?
