The basic supply list.
1 piece 16 gauge mild steel.
1 block foam of choice.
1 side of cow "leather".
1 bottle of black leather dye.
1 cardboard seat pan template.
1 leathercraft starter set for tooling leather.
One ambitious Stryker mod I hope I can pull off :-\

BA!!! I have always wanted to give this a shot. Keep us posted on the progress and let us know if there is anything additional you wished you had or would have done different?

Nice project. Nice thing about this if you screw up your not out a :)lot of money and you can buy the Low and Mean seat pan. :)

That your seat Deja? That's badass. I'm a bit of a cowboy so I'd like something western like boot stitching. Who did that for you? I can't find anybody around Atlanta.

I wouldn't consider myself an artist, and i've never worked with leather before, but I thought I would give it a shot. It's gonna look a little like Deja's, more than likely not as nice, but hopefully not terrible either. Here is the first test/practice piece i've ever done. I have alot more practice to do before I cut the final piece I think.

sander, that is actually quite good! my seatvwill be my winter project. I want it to be perfect!
