Well after looking at different tuners/auto tuners I have decided to pull the trigger on the ejk tuner made by dobeck performance. They say if you mention them in a forum they'll give you a discount price which is icing on the cake as they are reasonably priced to begin with.
Also after looking at different spike filters i've decided to get one from ss custom cycles.they are the best priced ones I could find short of making your own adapter from your stock air box and using a v star spike. They have a place where you can use a discount code when you order from them but I couldn't see any way mentioned on how to get a code.
Maybe by mentioning them in a forum they'll give me a code too like dobeck does.

I know ivans tune helps the bike out alot but I live in Canada and I could be without my ecm for up to 3 weeks ..mostly cause of custom delays.
The only reason i'm getting the ejk is cause I want an impaler spike filter and since my bike already has cobra slashdowns for exhaust it'll run too lean....pretty sure I read the flash won't cure the lean condition like the ejk does.
I thought I read on here Ivans flash will cause you too have less engine braking...I like to use engine breaking in conjunction with the brakes to aid in stopping.
And yes it'll likely go faster with the flash..but it goes plenty fast for me as is... and I love deceleration pop..was one of the main things that gave me that ear to ear grin when I first took my bike for a ride

I too went a similar route... bought the slip-on immediately after purchasing bike so unsure of speed.
slip-on with baffle removed(115mph),
spike intake(couldn't hit more than 110mph anymore),
and ejk(hit 125mph).

LOVE IT. Very aggressive rider. Still playing with ejk settings and diagnostic mode c1&c2 settings.

EJK settings:
1.5, 2, 0.5, 2.5, 1.5, 4

Currently not running any changes to c1&c2... with that said liked it better when I had c1 at 21 and c2 at 31.

I will get the flash one day(have too many other things I want first) but imo, I have never felt the "sluggish" described by many. I'm not a parking lot cruiser and quite frankly this bike just doesn't generate that torque from lower rpms like HD, so it's just more clutch control to me.

With that said.... the EJK did clean up 2nd and 3rd gear a bit... I guess what people describe as "chugging" if I am in traffic.

I'd like to add.... if you're looking to remove the decel pops, you're not. You'll still get them even with the 3,2,2,4,4,4 settings many recommend. With the above settings I posted, fuhgetaboutit. Pops as much as not having the ejk.

EJK installed!!! Fired her up any everything lit up like it's supposed to. .. but shut her back off cause I still haven't got the spike I ordered at the same time I ordered the EJK. Spike got held up at Canadan customs in missisauga.they likely crapped their pants cause there is oil on the filter and they thought it was drugs mmkayy . But they released it today so I should have it by four more days. Waiting on parts sucks. .should a ordered stuff last winter...

Ok... quick update. Found a new route this weekend. Pretty big straightaways..., wasn't humid, nice 75-80 degree day.

I have since set c1 and c2 both back to 0 the way the bike comes.

Same settings... 120. Wouldn't push at all passed it. Seemed like there was more to give. Two different attempts with a ton of road to just keep her pegged there.

Thought it was funny that I let my buddy on his vstar1100 with new spike intake -- def huge increase of power on his bike -- let him get way out there, he maxes at 108. Probably at some point when he was hitting 95/100, I was already flying by him at 120 like he wasnt moving, fun times. He maxed at 108 he said. Stock tires though for him, so I believe it to prob be about 10mph slow if I'm not mistaken. I run the 240 so I believe mine is true to odometer.

One other quick thing to note... I run 87, including the ride I posted above. I ran 93 two times because my buddy runs it in his gsxr and he offered to fill me up. Ran like ****, pop'd like ****, and mpg for ****, never again.

Same here she runs best on 87, likes Exxon fuel the best, even with the flash and PCFC.

New update:

Pegged it at the 130 on speedo. Same exact settings as my post #9 above with just a little more DGAF attitude. Temp was also cooler at 65 degrees out.

130 feels like 70 on this bike imo. Just a little more windy. ;-)

Feel like I need to add something because it was so much difference in between two rides. Not sure this is the exact thread for it, but whatever...

So I ride last week with my brother. He is a super-slow, take it all in, kind of cruiser. Just barely does the speed limit. In fact a lot of times under the limit. So I'm usually filling up with the low fuel indicator roughly at like 85-90 miles all the time. So last weekend with him on a 215 mile stretch both fill-ups I never even got the low fuel indication. Filled up at like 105 both times. Still was reading the two dots.

Yesterday, with my buddy who rides super aggressive like myself, I ran 90mph avg through route210 out here in near Pittsburgh, PA for a good 30 miles on a section of this same 215 mile trip listed above I did with my brother. This is where I pegged it also a couple of times. Let's just say the bike drinks. 75miles and low indicator was on. Just wanted to share what a huge disparity that is. So to summarize typical me fills up at low fuel indicator at 85-90miles, slow cruise was 105 for 215mi, balls to the wall ride was 75 on 2nd fillup of same 215mi trip.

Dobecks Performance EJK

I am so glad this topic exists. I have been debating between the Cobra Pro and the EJK for some time. About a week ago I decided to get the EJK, I just had to wait on my tax return, which fortunately gave me the time to find this post and the link to the discount. I will be submitting a discount request shortly, and look forward to see how much it improves my bike. I only bought it a few months back, but just the ride home and the one nice day we had a month ago, I could tell that with the prior owner throwing on the Cobra speedster swept exhaust and nothing else, that the bike wasn't performing to its best.

Hi All,

Brand new to this forum so go easy on me please.
Looking for recommendation for settings for Dobeck EJK Gen 3 given bike has only aftermarket rush pipes installed, no other modifications at this point. All the settings ive found are based on running aftermarket air intake but i haven't got one yet and may be quite a while before i do. I'm looking for better pick up at low speeds rather than fuel economy.
