Hello everyone, this is my first liter bike and new to the forums! I made a huge mistake and was a Harley owner until I realize it's just in the brand not in quality. Any who I wish there was a raven model in stock but there was only black with the chrome. I thought about buying all the black panels (air box cover, side covers, turn signals and fender rails) but it's going to be costly. I did search and it seems a lot of people are either painting them or plasti-dipping them. I'm interested in what options do I have and what success did members had? Thank you!

Plastidip is a great option. It is rubberized so holds up very well, but to UV I cannot answer. If covering chrome I would not roughen the surface due to the fact that if the plastidip does begin to show wear it can be removed back to chrome or redone in another coating of plastidip.

^^^ How many coats did you do and did you have to do touch ups on any of it?

Thanks for the response fellas.
I used the plastidip as well, I used 2-3 lighter coats. If you put them on too heavy, it seems to want to peel away. And also, if you tape anything off, remove the tape while it is still wet.

Lmao!!! Just tried to use the plasti-dip on my Irate customs radiator cover...now on that it did not play nice at all. So I did something different. Will put up some pics when dry. :)
