This is a fairly common topic on other forums and I thought it would be interesting to hear from some of the ppl on here. Here's a few to get it started:

800 lb touring bikes don't do well in deep sand. Don't ask me how I know.
When stopping your bike on a slight downhill decline to hop off and take a quick picture, don't leave the bike in neutral, don't ask me how I know.
Don't surprise your wife with the purchase of a new motorcycle while living with her parents to save money. Don't ask me how I know.

the last one is the best!! because we did live w/ her folks for a couple months while we were building our house. and i was sure as **** looking at bikes too at that time.

Love this post. ;D Really was thinking if I could add to it, but couldn't think of anything. Then sure enough **** happens (Last night).

Don't go dress shopping with your wife. Say gee "you know I really loved that dress you use to wear when we first were going out". Then start to discribe it. When she has no idea what dress your talking about. Then realizing that it was the dress on someone you were with before you first met. Don't ask me how I know.
