I currently have four 1/2" holes in each pipe. I want to add the Hardtimes air kit (I love the look ) without adding a fuel controller. is this ok or will it run to lean or will there be other disadvantages, problems?

It should be okay but your but your not getting all the performance from it you could be. If its popping alot you could be running lean.
