On most all modern sport bike air boxes there is not any thing to do to them to get them to make more Hp. They are perfection in air flow.Cruiser boxes are not as complicated .

The Stryker has the resonating snorkel on the back of the air box that this article refers to. Also it refers specifically to v twins.

Hmm just ordered my Cobra Powerflo Intake, the other day. I wonder how this relates to the article in term of HP loss vs HP gains.
Changing the intake to a different design doesn't relate to this article at all. It has it's own design. Altering the original design of any one part is what is not a good idea..

So after reading this article it has reinforce my conclusion that engineers and designers these days put far too much technology into every part on modern vehicles for me to go messing around with crap I have no idea about like I uses to back in the days of simplicity of the combustion engine.:mad:
Also I have decided to plug up the holes in my air box because I understand now that the rate of air flow through the resonating snorkel has changed and that's probobly why I can't reach 130 mph any more.

I hear ya! Today I decided to open up the Stryker, I got 695 miles on it now. I went down a slight long hill on a pretty empty highway and me and the little women hit 120MPH. I hit the limiter in fifth at 110MPH if I remember. Now my bike has a speedo healer on it and I did not have my GPS hooked up. But my speedo is pretty accurate with my GPS now that I have installed the speedo healer on it, so I think it was very close to the true 120mph. I didn't hold it to see if I could go any faster than that. Just getting a base line for the next time I hit this certain short strech of highway when I get the cobra tri flow and power flow kit on and of course my EJK tuner. Should have every thing buttoned up by next weekend. I got the Cobra air kit in tonight, pipe comes in monday. Its like christmas all over again here,LOL:nod:. Man I need to unload my Roadliner S to pay this Stryker off:(.
