Just wondering if I did drill the baffles out will it void my warrenty. I'm saving up for some aftermarket pipes and programmer.

I have found on here where it won't really affect performence or make it run rich or lean, just looking for a deeper sound...gonna put about 5 1/2 holes in each.

The usual answer is, if they can prove it attributed to a warranty, then it can - but drilling holes won't attribute to any issues I can think of. I did it to my Raider and took it in and showed them and they were ok with it. I plan on doing the same to the wife's Stryker.

I wouldn't do it. First why take the chance. Second when you buy aftermarket and try to sell your old pipes, who's going to want to buy them drilled? You'll be selling them for the cost of shipping.

I talked to a factory tech today, they have no problem with it.

From what he told me these bikes come from the factory a little rich so you can't hurt anything.

I put 8 holes in each 4 1/2 holes and 4 3/8ths holes

Yeah maybe excessive but it sounds good will put up clip.

I am going with aftermarket exhaust when I get my play fund built back up. I know maybe i should have just left it alone..but I'm young and I like to tinker.

My Life has a good point. I drilled mine and hated the sound. It soundl like an exhaust with holes in it...Thats it. Little too raspy for me. Now that I have aftermarket, I cant give away the stock exhaust with holes in it.

MyLife has a good point. But I decided that if I for some reason I wonted to sell them later or didn't like the sound I wold by new baffles. And then go with aftermarket. I thought this would be a less expensive way to test different sounds. So I started with 2- 1/2 holes in each then 4 then 6, still sounded like a muffler with holes in it. So I added a 1/2 inch hole in the center of the baffles and 2 more to make it a total of 9- 1/2 inch holes in each baffle and now it has a nice deep growl when you get on it and a nice rumble at an idle with out being to loud. I actually like it and am getting used to the size of the pipes. The only reasons to change them now would be for a different look or for future hp mods.

These bikes come very lean from the factory... Most bikes do.. they can actually border on being to lean.

Guess it depends on who one talks to ... the same threads can be found on the Raider forum. Most agree they come rich from the factory, but there are some that say they are lean - seems to be the same here.
