Ok here is the skinny.... I have drilled 4 1/2" hole in both of my pipes. YES.. it does sound better... I have not noticed any change in power. It still pulls like mule when I want it to. I hope this answers your question.

WOW! The difference is night and day! Just drilled mine today... It's got a nice tone and I'm happy with it..Sure it could be louder but they are pricks around here with hollow pipes as well as the fact I'm on the road to work at 2AM and the neighbors would kill me if I completely de-baffled it!

Man this reminds me of the episode of The Office where Michael was broke and he yelled out "I..... DECLARE.......BANKRUPTCY!!!!!!!!!"
Thinking that by yelling it out loud, or "declaring" it would be valid enough to make it happen.

Just saying that it doesn't void your warranty on the internet doesn't mean it won't void it. You really should call up your local shop and straight up ask them if you want a definite answer. If you do have any issues, you can bet your a$$ that the dealership is going to do whatever they can to say that it's not covered, or it was caused because of you drilling the holes.
Sure, it's unlikely that it'll really do any damage to anything, but if it ever came down to it you might be the one fronting the bill for a costly repair. But like I said, odds are pretty slim of that.

When was the last time you were at a dealership that didnt lie to you about warranty issues. chev is the worst for that and ford and dodge arent far behind those money hungry corksoakers would lie to you in a heart beat to line their pockets whose to say yamaha is no different!!!
