I am going to order the easybracket for saddlebags today. They have one that fits with the Styker's quick release backrest.

I am also looking at the River Road Windswept Braided Large Slant Saddlebags that I have seen on this site.

Most saddle bag I see come with straps. The ones above do and can be zipped off I think. I don't think I will need the straps or zipper mechanism with the bracket I am ordering.

Does anyone using the easybracket have any issues with the straps or zippers on their bags?

I have the easybrackets and had RR slants. i just unzipped th center strap and mounted them to the brackets. If you get real anal retentive about the zipper showing you can easily take a seam ripper and remove it from the bag. I have a pic in my garage you can look at.

I have the easy brackets, they drill right into the bags making the strap/zippers useless. There are bags that are made for hard mounting that aren't a "throw-over" style. That means there's be no zipper or strap, giving you a cleaner look. If you still go with the zip-off there shouldn't be an issue. I'm using some older river roads that were originally zip-offs as well. Took a blade and cut the zipper part right off.

+1 on what afcop97 said... I did the same thing.. removed the center strap.. and mounted them... the zipper does not bother the brackets nor me, nor the "looks" at all. You can see them in my photo album as well ...
