Ok - so I have ordered a batwing fairing for for my bike - came in yesterday - going to see if it will fit/mount to my bike tomorrow - Mfg says it will but we'll see :) If it does - comes with a stereo system already installed - just have to connect to my bike - 3 wires - two to the battery (one each to positive and ground) and one to an accessory wire so that the radio only comes on when the ignition is turned on. This third wire has a wire tap so don't even have to splice - My Question: AM one of the LEAST mechanical/electrical person you will meet. Have the manual but can't seem to get there with it. Can anybody clue me in as to what wire to tap into underneath the seat???

Again - read the manual - no luck - searched forum - no luck..... Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Thanks in advance.......

I'm no expert on this but I wired in a signal stabilzer under the seat. All the wires you should need are in the bundle running down the clutch side under the seat. Just carefully cut into the plastic wrap and you will have five wires. The brown and green are turn signal wires, so you won't connect anything to them. The blue wire is the keyed power wire you need, and there is a black ground and a yellow. Personally I would use those little plastic wire taps so you don't have to cut any wires. Hope this helps a little.

Will do - Hope to get all that don this weekend and yes stereo was already installed. the company is http://www.tsukayu.com and their customer service is PHENOMENAL. Since it's not custom made for my bike - the fairing sits about 2 inches behind the headlight - still looks great but it really needs to be flush. Contacted the company about if they had a wider bracket and if so what it would cost to purchase a set. Their reply "We will make a custom set for free - just tell us how far you need to push the fairing forward."

Yes - it's expensive ($1100 for the fairing and the stereo including shipping) but they do go the extra mile. The standard fairing headlight opening for this fairing is 6.5 inches - The stryker headlight is 7 inches wide - they increased the opening to 7.5 inches - no charge... Anyway - hope to get the pics this weekend as it currently sits on the bike and then more when I get the new brackets to bring it flush with the head light.

WOW, from what you said in your post... that company is all about the customer. Glad to hear there are still some legit companies out there and aren't all just about the money. I look forward to seeing the fairing on your bike.

Sent them email earlier tonight and they have already replied that they are sending measurements to their technician and should br shipping me new brackets n a couple weeks. Going to take pics tomorrow of current mounting n then again when new brackets are here.

And yeah - excellent customer service. Was a little concerned at first since they were an overseas company but man have they delivered!

The fit and finish is excellent and I really like the way it looks. As I mentioned earlier - the fairing currently sits about 2 in back from being flush with the headlight. I contacted the company and inquired about a wider bracket. They replied that if I would let them know how much I needed it moved forward they would make a set of custom brackets for free and ship them to me! Contacted them yesterday with the measurements and they said it would take a couple of weeks to make the brackets and would email when they shipped. Once I get it remounted with the new brackets I will post more pics.

A little late to the punch here, but there is also an auxiliary power plug in the headlight harness. Its a white plug with Blue/Black wire and a Black/Yellow wire. Mine was taped up out of sight, but its there. Just a heads up for the future installs.
