Anyone with the engine guard installed...... Can you rest your feet on it, or does it need highway pegs to get out far enough for your leg to clear the air cleaner cover??

I do not have them but I've read on here that you cannot rest your feet on them. You could get pegs that mount to them tho.

I have one on my bike and I am 5, 10 no way in **** could I touch one of these even with pegs! It is way up there for me to reach it. Bet bet would most likely be to move pegs forward some.

I've got the forward relocation kit. Move the pegs 3in forward. But if you use them you can't have engine guards

Guess i will try to see what kuryakyn makes for this app. If anyone has sucessfully mounted highway pegs on the engine guard , let me know what model/and adapters you used. also pics if you have them

Could you post pics in the gallery of your engine guards installed? My local dealer has a midnight set they said I could have for their cost, just want to see what they look like on a bike.

Here's a picture of mine with the L&M chin scoop. I had to cut the cross bar off so it would fit with the chin scoop.

Thank you, I have been playing around with some ideas with replacing the cross bar, but nothing that I like so far.

kuryakyn makes an offset peg mount kit that you could use to mount pegs to the engine guard, i think it is adjustable up to 3" each way. I used a set to mount pegs to a cobra engine guard that I had on my VTX 1300
