Does anybody make a wide engine guard for our bikes? The ones I have seen dont seem like they would do a lot if the bike was dropped as for saving the gas tank. Also I have the chin scoop if the bar that connects the two sides is cut so it would fit wouldnt the engine guard lose its strength and just bend should the bike be dropped?

I did a search about a year ago for a crash bar similar to those used on police bikes, nothing came up, I talked to a few custom shops and found a couple that would custom bend pipe to my specs for about $500 for a set

I have the Chinscoop and was the original one to cut the bar off connecting the 2 sides of the Star engine guard. At a bar last year- I stood up while straddling bike and forgot to put kickstand down. Bike went over on left side- Floorboards hinged up like they are supposed to and bike set on Engine guard as it should. Handle bars were a good foot and a half away from pavement. So the Engine guards are strong enough on there own without Bar connecting them.

I like the look of the Lindbys but cant find them for the a
stryker.

Yes- I have the OEM, but I like the look of the Lindbys also. When I bought mine back in early 2011- The Star guards were all that was available.

Quick question..will the limbdy work with a chin scoop. And what kind of pegs are those you have? Are those the Kury mini boards? Thanks again..

And I am guessing that you got the Linbar?

I think you would need to modify the chin scoop. I don't think anyone has tried it yet. I have the Kuryakyn ISO wings. Yes, mine is the Linbar.
