Anyone have real life experience comparing the Stryker to a Victory Vegas Jackpot?

I am in the market and really like both bikes after years of not riding. From a pure looks perspective, I like them both but I can land a new stryker and customize (chrome wheels, fenders, change to LEDs) to look like a used vegas jackpot for about the same money. For as much as I like the Stryker in OEM form, it really needs a few things to really create the look I want. The vegas takes basically nothing.

I am sure both will meet my needs mechanically.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Nice! That is one thing about the yamaha(s)....you can really make a strong statement.

LOL! Good point. I am sure I will add either way. The Vegas just takes very little to get to where I want to go, but I am paying for it up front and not turning the wrenches to get there..

Gee I love my Stryker. I Love my Stryker, but compare it to the Vegas Jackpot. Sorry I would choose the Vegas Jackpot in a heartbeat. But the price was right out of my reach. You only have to look at the engine fins of the Jackpot to see the detail and beauty that Victory put into their bikes. Six speeds, 106 cubic, paint job etc. etc. etc.

You know I love that bike Deja!! I say it almost everytime you post a picture of it too. I did notice two things this time though:
1st- you still have your passesnger pegs on, do you ever ride 2-up and 2nd- my house isn't the background ;).

well, I hadnt really thought about the rear pegs, but it doesnt have
a passenger anymore....strictly solo....I am so sorry it isnt in front of your
house...maybe we will have to come visit!!lol

Ummmmmas for her being a trailer queen.....I bought it new in May of 09
and she has close to 21,000 miles on her. I rode from florida to tenn and back
just like you see her now....no cruise, no comfy seat and no windshield. We
go on day trips quite often with our friends and I do love the twistosterone!!

Good responses. I think the overall price to get into business on a Stryker makes it very appealing. It's new and has warranty. Then you can mod away and make it entirely yours. Dejablu's is awesome.

The Jackpot will be a 2006 or 2007 model for the same money with no warranty and usually 10K+ miles....except there are a few new 2008's out there - one in Latrobe, PA for $13,999, prior to negotiating.

I will just have to test ride both. Darn!
