Thought I'd share. I had a local shop install my cobra swepts last year. I noticed a small amount of rust on the exhaust around the foot peg. When sitting cold it has some clearance. After going for a ride I noticed the shield swells and rubs. Basically I put washers in to space both sides out a lil. The bolts from the right side will fit in the left side and got new bolts for the right. I tried to adjust the heat shield first but no luck. Figured I'd share so others may wanna check their own pipes.

try tightening your pipe clamps more. I've got a good 1/4" clearance between the shields and the boot guard. Even when hot.

I tried adjusting the clamps this morning. Doing that got it away from my right side engine cover. Doing the washer seems to be fine. Went for a quick 20 mile ride with no issues.
