I was just wondering if anyone has tried putting a glass pack on this bike? I saw a guy on youtube did it but I didnt know if anyone on here had tried it. He took the exhaust off before the cat and just put the glass pack on there. Seems like it would work just like the slip-on exhausts. Any feedback would be great. Thanks

There have been a few guys on here who have done custom exhaust work.
Jeremyf073 used a magnaflow glass pack muffler to biuld an exhaust. Scroll down a little in this post to see some pictures.

A few others I know of:
I used a cheap slip-on muffler that I gutted and built my own baffle for. I know Boolshot modified a muffler from a harley. Megabuddys and V8Astro have also built their own mufflers.

I shortened my Slip-on and packed with fiberglass mesh from Moose around baffle to help quiet it a little.

After packing it with the Moose, I bet yours sounds good! I know mine does..It takes out all the high tin sound and gives it a low rumble.

Yes Miko- not quite so bad at cruising speed now. And nice loud rumble when accelerating.

thanks guys. Did you guys make a new bracket to support it or just let the pipe do it?
For the Cobra Slip-on that I shortened, I could still use the bracket that came with it. Not sure what the guys did that used there own muffler though.

So I ordered a glass pack to give this a try. But I was trying to think of a way to test it out without going all the way through with welding it on. Just in case I dont like the sound since i really havent heard it and can only find one video that wasnt to good. I was looking into some of the high temp silicone connectors but dont know if they would work. Just looking to see if anyone has had any experience with these on a exhaust system. Thanks
