I'm changing the headlight on my bike & when I was taking it apart & I saw an extra wiring plug with two wires that plugs into what looks like a dead end socket on the back of the bracket that holds the headlight.

I'm just curious if anyone knows what that extra plug is for?

No extra switch. looking at the wiring diagram. Its powered off the power side of the headlamp switch and power comes from the headlamp relay. the wires are nubered 58 on the diagram. It should have power when ever the head lamp is on. low or high beam.

That could be used for a light bar though. It has power only when running (same as the headlight). I just used it to wire up my GPS. I would just double check the wire size against the amperage draw of the lights to make sure it's adequate.

OSXFreak also mentioned a spare plug on the rear duckbill. I noticed that this weekend as I hacked away on it.

Is the rear plug also for some type of plug/play accessory?

Sorry for somewhat hijacking your thread...remove my post if you'd like.
