So I have to share this! So as some of you know from reading my new member intro my father bought my 2005 M50 and I just purchased my 2011 Stryker. Well anyway my father and I have never ridden together until the other day! Me knocking on the door of 40 and him kicking the heels of 60. My dad came over for him to pick up the bike he bought from me and go down to the local shop to get him a new helmet. After we got back from the store I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride before I had to go to work. We both got ready and started out just driving around the neighborhood, we went to a road which is a rather open road which leads between New York and Pennsylvania. Well my Stryker only has 11 miles on it at this point so I can't get to stupid but I decided to give her a little ****. We turned the corner and I just let it rip! Before I knew it I looked down and hit 90mph in no time. Smiling to myself I looked into the mirror and saw my dad right behind me...one of the proudest and best moments of my life. 8)

I ride with my Dad as well. He's turning 79 and rides a Raider. I had to buy the Stryker so I could keep up. ;D

Great post.

There are some days I wish my relationship with my father was such that I could enjoy something this.

i just wish my dad was still around, cancer got him on 04
Lost both my parents to cancer. Dad in 86 at only 68 years old, and mom in 94 at 71 years old. Both smoked cigarets.
Dad taught me mechanics and help me build and watched me race mini bikes and go carts. He also bought me my first motorcycle but never rode with me. He also watch me teach kids as I was a karate instructor, (Brown Belt level), at a recreation center for the navel housing in Silver Strand San Diego Ca. He past away and did not get to see me become a master of martial arts. Cigarets KILL.
