I just recently bought a 2011 stryker in June of 2012. This is my first bike. Never even been on one until I bought it. I love the bike best thing I ever did.

I was wondering if there was a way to get "free way" bars so that I can stretch my feet out without putting an ugly engine guard on the bike?
If I got floor boards does that really help more with comfort?

As far as the seat goes, I have the stock seat with a tall sissy for a passenger. The dealer keeps telling me that there is no difference in comfort from one seat to the next just cosmetic differences. Is this true? I am looking for something that after a long ride is more comfortable.

Last question, does anyone have any bags that match this bike? I dont like the looks of any that I have seen so far... Maybe im picky...

Thanks in advance!

I tell you one thing he lied to you when he said the is just cometics, yea the stock seat gives it a clean low profile look, but for me I didn't work at all. I drive 160 miles round trip for work and my arss was killing me, and when it came to two up riding that pillion doesnt do anything for the wife backbone. So I went with mustang after reading hundreds of threads on our fine site here. There are several companies out there for you to choose your seat from. Each has there plus's and minus's. Do your research.

As far as the engine guard goes, alot of us on here have the small star engine guard which you cant really attach any highway peg to. There is a large engine guard out there but dont know how it will look on the Stryker.

Floor boards are easy just need to find the style you want and order the right adapter depending on the brand.

I have the luggage rack and that works great for me on the bakc of my sissy bar. There is alot of ways for you can mod this machine to your liking so have fun and enjoy the site. Click on the garage tab and check out other members bikes. Tho get some ideas.

Corbin also makes two different seats for the Stryker. A bit pricey but they look awfully comfy.

There are many bags that will fit. The are quite a few complaints about the Star cruise lite bags though. Not water proof and being zipper operated they have to be completely unzipped to open them. I worry about longevity of these zippers. The HardStreet Slims and Sixers are favorite among many of the forum members for hard sided bags. The Slims are featured in the Star accessory catalog as well so it has engineerings and the legal department blessing.

I would recommend forward control extensions for sure. I have the Scootmods 3" kit, and love it. Very easy to install as well. The Kuryakyn Swing Wings do let you stretch out, but the angle seemed odd to me, and I didn't find myself flipping them out much at all. Other than that, Lindby is coming out with their Lindbar Highway bar for the Stryker. Lets you stretch out like you are on your recliner... I really like them.
