Hey guys, did a little searching and saw that people are using plyers to get the injector plugs out. Is that the only way? I've propped the tank up as high as it will go and cant get my hands in there. I dont want to mess the plugs up. Also, I want to make sure I am pulling the right plugs. Does anyone have a picture from their bike?

Thanks for the help!

A pair of pliers like one of these:

comes in handy. I have a pair like the 2nd one. I don't have a picture of the injector plugs, but they look just like the ones you're going to connect in their place. The front cylinder injector is closest to the back of the bike and vice versa. Take your time, be gentle and you shouldn't have any trouble. If you're not comfortable doing it, by all means get someone to do it for you.

Yes Bobby, Like previously stated, front cylinder injector has the plug-in most rearward on the bike but angled into the front cylinder, and vice versa for the opposite injector. You do not need special pliers, but sure makes job a lot easier. Must follow directions given on the 4 injector plugs from the unit you are installing.

Just did this install last night and the injector for the rear cylinder was a huge pain in the arse. My buddy got his hand in there from one side of the bike and I used a long shaft flat head screwdriver from the other side to push the clip in. I pushed and he pulled, took a few tries but we got it. Just try to be gentle with pointy objects and thin wires!

Yup once I got the plyers in there it was all good. Just some contortionist moves and it was in. Thanks for the help man does the bike run smooth. Totally worth it. Big radius on its way. Gonna try putting that bad boy on also. Tis the season!

My bike runs flawlessly right now with all Cobra parts (pipes, intake and the Fi). I talked with the guys at Cobra and the performance gain is fairly good with those three. I was told around a 15-20% gain.

Good luck with the install and ride safe!
