Finally finished up the artwork on the tank tonight. A long night full of frustration, but I think the results are worth it. Had a bit of trouble with my airbrush through the whole night, maybe time to rebuild the old girl but I managed to get things finished up so that I can sand and clear everything this weekend. Every time I got the designs where I wanted them the airbrush would throw a fit and spit out little dots of paint which then required me to fix the art. AArrrggghhh! But anyway here's the tank. 11stryker, doesn't quite look the same as when I opened the box! Hope you like it.
Sorry for the bad pics, was getting a little tired at this point.

Thanks BOOLSHOT. I was beginning to think I'd never see the end of it. Been working on this thing pretty steady since January. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is definitely my own, everything on it I did myself. Lot of blood, sweat and tears in this one. Always wanted to do a build with a brand new bike and now I'm almost done! Still got the rear fender to paint but that should be pretty simple. Mostly black with just a few small flame licks. Maybe a few LEDs to set it all off!

Thanks strykershane. I'm pretty pleased with how the tank came out. I got a little carried away on the fairing ( to many paint fumes lol) and wanted to reign it in a bit on the tank, keep a little more black. Now that the tank is done think I finally came close to achieving the look I was searching for. Now to go back and repaint everything else like this......NOT!

Strom, if you had heard me out there swearing at my airbrush last night you would be saying "you have some serious issues!". Appreciate the compliment. Probably more stubbornness than talent but it gets me through.

Thanks Aelway7. Getting close to getting her finished. A little more sanding, a few coats of clear, a little more sanding and then buff her out! Oh did I mention a little more sanding.....
I'm looking forward to the end of this project...I'm tired!
