Well folks, today I had my first ride on my Stryker. Loved it! ;D ;D ;D

Need to sit right at the front of the seat and the lowering kit would make it easier, but it was a great ride. Now I can get in the mod mode and buy some bits. ;D ;D ;D

Excellent! The first ride is always something that I remember.

You look very comfortable in your av pic.

Are you saying you need to move up a bit? Do some of the aftermarket seats for the Stryker move you up like they do on the Raider? There are some that move you forward about an inch - others move you up and forward.

Great. You must be happy. Let us know what you do for comfort? I have plenty reach for the pegs but find my self slouching a bit on long rides because the bike is so comfortable but the bars have me reaching a bit. So I'm looking at risers and need them to come back 2 0r 3 inches.

I find the reach okay if I sit at the front. I will get a local firm to bring the back of the seat further forwad to stop me slipping back and give me some support. I will lower it as well but when the weather gets better. Pull backs on the bars would be good but does't really give me a problem because I have to sit forward for the controls. Feels very sturdy on the road and different than the 1300 midnight Star.

Gonna get my seat altered to push me forward. Don't need to go higher. Legs are too short. Need stretching. ;)

Congrats on your first ride....how does Ark Raider like his new ride??
Next time you visit Kev and Sally have a sit on their bikes...Sally has the Ultimate seat and Kev's handlebars have a little more pullback....your first mods should be for comfort and stability
Thanks. Unfortunately he didn't get chance to ride his. He had to tighten up the belts and then took mine for a test ride. By the time he had done his,he got called out to do some emergency plumbing for my son and still hasn't come back. It is dark now so will be tomorrow when he rides his. :(
I have sat on Kev and Sallys. As I need to sit further forward, the reach on the bars is no problem. Just need a pad behind me to keep me forward. Will take it to the local guy who did my Midnight Star seat. Need lots of goods now. Screen, sissy bar, saddlebag bars. Shopping time. ;D

that's what Mrs Dreadly is going to have to do - even worse, she has to make a trip to the dealership to go see it.

Now that is tough!! I at least could go to my shop and start the modding process early. While it still had 0 miles on it, I put Boulevard windshield on, backrest, luggage rack, and Engine Guards on.

Her choice ... I told her it would be easier to go in April where she may have a chance of riding it home. So now we're looking at comfort mods - floorboards are first on the list.
